Winter is finally on its way

After an astonishingly mild autumn and winter thus far it is apparently due to change quite dramatically this week. Lots of positives come from the freezing weather, we're incredibly busy at work (all those lovely little birdies need feeding!) which makes for a cheery boss, and usually a bit more time for cosying up on the sofa with my knitting. Obviously not on a sofa at work otherwise said boss wouldn't be quite so cheery :) Still working on the cardigan of doom which I haven't mentioned before as I'm only doing positives at the moment - could you tell???

What happened to this year???

How can it possibly be close to the end of September? I realise that time passes when you're busy but honestly, its not right and I'm not having it!

Happy New Year everyone

I don't really do New Year Resolutions, however I do seem to stop and think about the many things I've yet to give my whole attention to! Think blogging may be one of those by the look of it. I don't know about you, but the New Year does inspire a clearing out frenzy, and so Freecycle will be getting a lot of contact from me over the next couple of weeks! I hope 2011 brings you health and happiness and all that you wish for x

Turning my old jeans into a denim skirt - hopefully!

As the weather can't decide what its doing. One minute sunny, next minute rainy, followed by downpour of snow, I've decided that its easier to just stay put indoors. Apart from the jumper I'm working on I'm unpicking a pair of old jeans to make into a denim skirt. Fiddly business to be honest, but I'm determined to persevere. What I should be doing is getting to grips with my new digital camera so I can post some pictures as I go along. Here goes both.....

My first blog.....

Hi everyone, this is my first blog so apprehensive, excited and wanting to share a little about the things that interest me, and hopefully will you too! I went off this morning to buy wool to knit my 16yr old daughter a jumper. Believe me that in itself is a big thing, but having seen the jumper I knitted for her brother she finally realises that all my mad knitting as she sees it, does turn into something quite good! I think the actual comment was 'oh, actually that's nice'

Teenagers, bless em......
